I NEED A VET

• By appointment at a surgery.

In almost all cases, we like to see small animals at a surgery. We have all the facilities there to treat them properly. Ring 01670 512275 or any branch surgery. The receptionist can make you an appointment for a consultation, at your convenience, at any of our branch surgeries. Routine surgical procedures will be performed at Morpeth, Blyth or Ashington. Cases requiring overnight care are hospitalised at Morpeth.

• By call out.

All visits are arranged at Morpeth surgery. Home visits for pets are only advisable under special circumstances: namely when pet or owner cannot travel. We can only give very limited treatment to your pet at home and, of course, it is more expensive. We have an ambulance which we can use to collect emergency cases when the owner finds it impossible to get their animal to Morpeth surgery by any other means – this service is not available out of hours.

• Equine visits.

Please ring in advance to arrange routine injections or procedures. Remember, if several people on the same yard require a vet, they can share the visit charge. If a same day visit is required, please let us know as soon after 8.30am as possible.

• Farm calls.

We would be grateful if you could let us know by 9.00am if you require a call. We cannot commit ourselves to specific visit times, although we will do our best to accommodate our clients. Each morning we arrange rounds, according to our calls. If you wish to know at what time the vet is likely to be with you, please ring Morpeth between 8.30am and 9.00am.

• Emergencies.

We offer a 24 hour emergency service for our own clients, manned by vets from the practice. Ring 01670 512275 and you will be put through automatically to the on-duty vet. Please do not misuse this service. If you are in doubt as to what constitutes an emergency, please click the ‘emergency’ link for further information.
